(Received December 8, at 10.50 a.m.) The Assistant Secretary to the Treasury (Mr Wadsworth) informed the House’s Appropriations Committee that me French Government so far had dechnec. to enter into negotiations for the funding or payment of France's war debts to the United States, which were, approximately, 4,000,000,000d01. Air Wads, worth indicated that France’s position was that she could not enter into negotiations with America until assurances were obtained of prompt German reparation payments.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
