This decision was announced after a mass meeting of seamen, at which, it is understood, it was decided to confine the strike to vessels owned by the Union Company. This decision is the outcome of a prior conference with representatives of the marine and waterside organisations, at which it was unofficially stated that it had been decided to advise tho seamen that no assistance would bo forthcoming from tho various organisations should the union endeavor to extend the shipping dispute.
