CHORAL SOCIETY

‘ THE MESSIAH.’ The booking of reserved seats, the plan for which opened yesterday at The Bristol Piano Company’s, was quite satisfactory. Last night’s practice of the chorus again showed the value of the augmented tenors and bassos. The final and full rehearsal of principals, chorus, and orchestra will be held in the Jubilee Hall, View street, on Saturday evening. The concerts will bo given in His Majesty’s Theatre on Monday and Tuesday next, commencing at 7.45 p.m. The length of the programme and the desire to conclude _ at about 10.15 necessitates the earlier time of starting.
