Hudson, on behalf of his synwrote under date November 21 appealing against the Sailing Committee’s decision in disqualifying tho Eunice in the previous Saturday’s test race. Under rule 47 he thought the judges should have overlooked any slight advantage that may have been obtained by not starting on too lino. Air _ French thought that he was over tho line before squaring away, and he allowed ail the other boats to pass him before doing so. As too Eunice had only a few seconds’ advantage in the start and won by -about five minutes, he considered that the judges should have taken this into consideration, more especially as the race was not for -a trophy, but one of a series of test races, too object of which was to select tho best, boat and best crew to go to Auckland to lift the Sanders Gup. ■ —Received, tho decision of the Sailing Committee being upheld. SEVEN TESTS. It was decided to hold seven tests for the Sanders Cup.
