Dr Hartzhorne, the beneficiary under the will of a wealthy lady, Mrs Jelfs, and suspected of poisoning her, ha,s been exonerated by a coroner s jury. _ He had attempted suicide in an hotel in suspicions circumstances. , , . ~ Mrs Jelf’s body was exhumed, but the post mortem revealed nothing wrong. The coroner said he thought Dr Hartzhorne was unwise in not deporting the death to him when it occurred. Dr Hartzhorne, in evidence, said ho had attended Airs Jelfs for thirty-six years, and she made her will twelve years ago. The jury found that death was due to heart failure under an amesthetm.
