Mr Frank Langstone, last year's Labor candidate, has again been selected by a large majority as the official Labor candidate for the Waimarino seat.

The Prime Minister has announced that Mr S. Andrew will he the Reform candidate for tho Hurunui scat. Mr Andrew has been prominent in public affairs in the Kaikoura district for fourteen years. He is a member of the Kaikoura County Council, and also of the North Canterbury Hospital Board. At a meeting of the Timani supporters of Mr J. F. Arnold last night it was decided that lie would not contest the Timaru seat at the General Election.—Own correspondent.
