At Gisborne to-day twelve charges of - defalcations. in respect to various bankrupt estates, totalling £l6B, were preferred against William Leonard Butler late Deputy Official Assignee. Accused pleaded guilty when tho first case -was. called on, and’was committed for sentence., Tho other cases are proceeding.— Press Association.
