ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
CHILD. FATALLY SCALDED. A three-year-old child named Frederick Trevor Harris, whose parents reside at Archhill, died in Auckland Hospital as a result of scalds received through accidentally falling into a bucket of toiling water on the kitchen floor. SUDDEN COLLAPSE. Charles B. Gillespie, operator at the Greater Crystal Palace Picture Theatre, Christchurch, died suddenly yesterday while cycling along the street. Deceased had .suffered severely from heart disease for some years. FALL OP 90FT. An Auckland Association message states that at about midnight a man’s coat and cap were found on the Grafton Bridge, and the discovery led to finding in tne gully 90ft below a man thirty-four years old named W. N. Grindlingkm, residing in that locality. Ho had one leg fractured, and was eemi-conscious. He died in the hospital this morning. WORKMAN ELECTROCUTED, A Hamilton Association message states that E. Hoult, employed in electrical work at the Government Workshops, was electrocuted this morning by coming in contact with live wires.
