The Dane cl in Choral Society Is making good progress in its preparations for the next concert. This will bo given in His Majesty’s Theatre on tho 15th and 16th. prox. Tho work under study is ‘ Hiawatha,’ by S. Coleridgc-Taylor. Last night’s practice was occupied in attention to phrasing, accent, expression, etc. Mr V. Galway, acting conductor, wielded tho baton. Mr Webb, chairman of tho Wellington Musical Union, was present, gave his society’s hearty greetings, and was given a ■ hearty welcome. Air _W. L. Logie, .chairman of the local society, responded, and asked, him to convey their thanks and good wishes to tho fellow choralista In the political capital.
