Tho Government is considering a joint and definite proposal iby the. Shell Company and tho Burnley qjid Vickers Companies to promote an air mail and passeni ger service to India. The fares from London to Bombay would be: First class, £7O; second class, £45. Monthly return 'fares will be £9O (first class) and £SO (second class). The time of 'the journey would bo throe and a-half days. The promoters only require a. subsidy sufficient to return per cent, on debentures and 6 per cent, cm ordinary shares, both tax free. They suggest that India should contribute £40.000 per annum for ten years.—A. and N.Z. Cafel§,
