Tho final meeting of the Council of the League of Nations approved of the revised Palestine and Syrian mandates. The former was strengthened in the direction of protecting the holy places of all faiths. The Earl of Balfour expressed the opinion that every' liberty would bo preserved! to the Arabs. They would prosper ns they had never dreamed of doing under the Turks. His views a home for tho Jews had not received unanimous approval.
