Millerand whilst ho was returning in a carriage to the Elysee Palace. Bouvet fired into the wrong carriage. Ho was roughly handled before he was arrested.A. and N.Z. Cable. PARIS, July 14. (Received, July 15, at 9.49 a.m.) Bouvet, who is twenty-two years, of ago, declared that it was his intention’ to shoot M. Millerand. Tho first motor car contained M. Naudin, the now Paris Prefect of Police. Tho scene of tho occury reuce was in the Avenue de Maxigny.— A. and |.Z. Cable. OCCUPANTS OF CARRIAGE UNHURT. BYSTANDERS WOUNDED. PARIS, July 14. (Received July 15, at 10 a.m.) Several official carriages were proceeding in a procession to the Elysee Palace. When within 100 yards of the palaeo entrance Bouvet, who belongs to the Young Revolutionary Communist organisation, fired three shots at tho first carriage. Tiro occupants were not hurt, but a bystander (a woman) was wounded, and was rent to hospital. M. Millerand occupied tho second carriage.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
