THE GENERAL ELECTION
Hie following additional candidates have been approved by the Liberal-Labor Party, and will receive Mr Wilford’s support at tho General Election ; —Feliding, Mr Eichd. Oobbe (who will oppose the Hon. D. H. Guthrie); Pahiatua, Mr A. E. Ransom (who will oppose Mr A, M'Nicol, M.P.); Oteki, Mr G. H. M'Cluro (who will oppose Mr W. H, Field) M.P.); Hastings, Mr Gilbert M‘Kay; Gisborne, Me George Wildish. Mr Algilbert, president of tho Nelson Chamber of Commence, has been unanimously selected as the Reform candidate for the Nelson seat. Tho seat is at present held by Mr H. Atmore (Liberal). Mr Philip R. Needham is announced to contest tho Tomuka.electorate as an In-depejidont-libexal-Labar candidate. Mr Needham is a native of the Tamara district. He was bom at Washdyko, near Timaru. Last election ho set out to contest tho Palmerston North seat as a Liberal-Labor candidate, but withdrew to gyoid triajx|ulas, wpjtest^
