TO-MORROW'S FOOTBALL
RUGBY. The first round of senior grade flag matches will be brought to a close tomorrow .afternoon. Great interest is being taken in the match between Pirates an°d ’Varsity. The ’Varsity so far have an unbeaten record, but Pirates are confident of giving them the hardest fight they have had. The Pirates have been showing excellent form, and play fast, open football, while ’Varsity’s play against Kaikorai last Saturday was of a very high order. This match should therefore prove one of the best seen in Dunedin for many a day. At the Caledonian Ground the Kaikorai will meet Zingari, and as the hill club is somewhat weakened tho Zingari should put up a good game. At Talvuna Park the Southern will meet University B and Dunedin tho Union. SOCCER. To-morrow afternoon, at Culling Parle, the two loading teams in the senior competition—Northern and Kaitangata—meet for the first time this season, and thus cjoso tho first round of fixtures. As both teams play very attractive football, a close game' may bo looked for. Bnmdell and M'Aulay, tho two Now Zealand representatives, will again bo playing for their respective sides, so both teams will bo at full strength. It is anticipated that this match will bo one of the best seen in Dunedin this season, and that, therefore, a large crowd of Soccer enthusiasts will witness tho game.
