New Zealand prime cross-bred mutton : Canterbury—heavy 61d, light 7Jd; North Island—heavy 6d, light 7d. The demand for New Zealand mutton runs principally on light-weights. Now Zealand prime ox beef—hinds 4d, fores 2|d. The demand for New Zealand beef is poor. The market for New Zealand lamb is very firm. The market for New Zealand mutton is firm. For New _ Zealand beef prices aie nominal. Australian good average quality dross-bred lamb —heavy, new season, B|d; light, new season, lOjd. Mutton —heavy, old; light, sd. The demand for Australian lamb is good. The demand for Australian mutton is poor. The quotations for lamb are new season.
