COMPETITION,
The Champion of Champions petition was continued this morning on tho North-east Valley Green, which was in surprisingly good condition, considering the heavy rain, yesterday. The competitors expressed themselves as highly pleased with the way it was playing. Mr J. Lough was umpire.
—Third, Round—
The games that were interrupted by tho rain yesterday wore 'concluded early this morning, with tho fbllowing'results:—. Harraway 17, Robertson 16. Morrison 19, Aitchison 17. M'Dougall 21, M‘Gregor 16. —■Fourth Round.—
Foster 20, Piddington 13. Sloan 15, M'Dougall 13, Morrison 19, Harraway 18. Holgate 18, Carswell 17. Campbell, a bye. Holgate and Carswell tied on tho 21st head, and an extra head was played. Holgate a drew tho shot with the second bowl, and Carswell missed with two attempts to fake it out. Harraway and Morrison wore also level when tho regulation twenty-one heads had been played, Morrison getting one in the extra head. —Fifth Round.— Piddington 16, Holgate 15. Foster 19, Campbell 14. Sloan 18, Morrison 13, This leaves Foster (two, lives), Piddington and Sloan (one life each) in the next round.
