Following tho new charter of liberties which was agreed to by tho British Government, a, rescript by tho Sultan announces that Egypt is now an independent Sovereign Stale. Tho Sultan becomes King of Egypt. Tho iircconcilablc elements caused emails disorder in the streets. They damaged lamps and tocos in the avenues. The cavalry were, called out. —A. and N.Z. Gable.
I’Prinoo Aimed Fund (Fuad L) has been Sultan of Egypt’ since 1917, He was born in 1868, and is a son of Ismail Pasha. Ho was educated in Italy, and. served in tho Italian army.]
