THE DIAMOND JUBILEE

At the annual meeting of the Otago High School Old Boys’ Society, held on Thursday, March 2, Mr J. A. Park proposed that the Executive of the Otago High School Old Boys’ Society take steps to suitably celebrate the sixtieth year ot the school’s existence. Mr E. Webster was elected president for the ensuing year, and Dr Fulton was elected vicepresident, so that in 1923, the diamond jubilee of the school, lie should be in the position of president. Dr Fulton pointed out that in carrying Mr Park’s motion into effect it was necessary to start work at once; and at a later meeting of the executive he was authorised to call a meeting of Old Boys together, lay proposals before them, and arrange for the jubilee in 1923. Dr Fjiltbn presided over a very largelyattended meeting held last evening to consider the question of suitably celebrate ing the Otago Boys’ High School diamond jubilee. It was enthusiastically resolved that an association b© formed to be called the Otago Boys’ High School Jubilee Association. The chairman outlined the various committees which he suggested should be formed. It was resolved that an executive committee, as named by the chairman, bo formed, with power to add to its number. It was also resolved that the executive nominate various committees, these committees to be cuhsequcntly called together to appoint their own conveners. Mr E. S. Wilson was appointed secretary of the association.
