LICENSING LEGISLATION

WELLINGTON, March 16.

The Select Committee appointed by Parliament to review the licensing legislation and to consider suggested amendments met this morning, Mr F. F. Hockly, M.P., acting as chairman. The Press was not admitted. The committee decided to take evidence, and several witnesses were to bo heard this afternoon. It is not anticipated that the deliberations will extend ever a few days. The chairman stated that anybody desiring to give evidence should immediately notify him.
