Having discharged tho balance of her Newcastle coal cargo, tho Koromiko steamer down, to Port Chalmers this afternoon to undergo survey and overhaul. The ketch Rira is expected to leave Dunedin to-morrow for Wellington with a cargo of tiles. From Wellington she will go to Lyttelton to load produce for Auckland.

The Wanaka arrived at Dunedin this morning from Auckland via ports, and was berthed at the cross wharf to discharge 580 tons of cargo, which includes a quantity (of sugar and transhipments ex tho Makura from Vancouver. Tho Wanaka will .sal this evening for Bluff. She will return here on Sunday, and loads on Monday for East Coast ports and Auckland.

Tho Kahika, which has been delayed in the north by had weather, is now expected to arrive at Dunedin on Saturday morning from Wellington. She is listed to sail the same day for Nelson and New Plymouth via ports. The Calm is due- at, Dunedin to-morrow from Bluff to load for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui,

The Breeze is expected i boro on Saturday form Lyttelton, and is listed to' Bail the same day for Timaru, Lyttelton, I wton, and Wanganui. The OJirrrtro'i, arrived at Auckland last night from Sydney with mails, passengers, and general cargo. She is listed to eail on tho return voyage at noon to-mor-row. A cablegram from London states that the Orient liner Omar, en route from London to Australian ports, passed Penm on March 14. The steamer Booral, cn route from Australian ports to London, passed RJjrim on March 14. The Kauri has been fixed to load at Lyttelton about March 20 for _ Auckland. She will probably call at Timaru and Wellington to lift additional cargo. Tho New Zealand Shipping Company advises that tho Peshawur is expected to leave Wellington on Saturday for London via Panama and Newport News. The Canadian Scottish, was scheduled to leave 'Vancouver on March 11 for Lyttelton. Sho is due there about April 10, and will later proceed to Auckland, Sydney. and Melbourne. To complete loading the Hatipara arrived at Wellington to-day from Lyttelton. The vessel is to sail finally from Wellington for London via Panama. Tho Tutanekai left Bluff cn Monday for the Auckland and Campbell Islands to replenish ■ depots and search for castaways. Tho vessel is duo back at Bluff in a week’s time, and will then return to Wellington via the West Coast, making calls en route.

The Kaituna was to leave Auckland yesterday for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin to complete discharge of her cargo from Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney. The Leitrim loft Lyttelton on Tuesday afternoon for Now Plymouth and Wellington to complete Homeward loading. Sho is due at Wellington on March 17, and will sail on Mardh’2l for Avonmouth, Manchester, Liverpool, and Glasgow. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company advises that the Kia Ora is duo at Wellington on Sunday from Wanganui roadstead to complete loading. Tho vessel will leave Wellington on the 23rd inst. for Tendon via tho Capo Horn route. Mr J. H. Holm, late of the steamer Broxton, has joined the now steamer Kylebeg as chief engineer,_ Tho steamer Canadian Skirmisher, now en route to Sydney from Vancouver, has been fixed to load wheat from Australian ports to Japan. The wreck of the small Australian steamer Mokau, as it lies cn the beach at Wreck Bay, near Sussex Inlet, was recently sold at auction and realised £3OO. Mr W. Watt, of Nowra, was the purchaser. The cargo, consisting of 100 tens of silica, was also sold for £lO to Mr W. Settreo, of Wreck Bay. , The Manning Committee appointed under the Federal Navigation Act recently dealt with the deck manning of six of Burns, Philp, and Co.’s steamers—tho Mataram, Makainbo, Mindini, Marslna, Morinda, and Mduaia—and the recommendations of the committee were forwarded to- the Marine Council in Melbourne for approval. THE FERRY SERVICE. The Wahino arrived at Lyttelton at 7 a.m. to-day from Wellington, and mails and passengers connected with the express for the south. WAIWERA FOR AMERICA, The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company advises that the Waiwera will leave Lyttelton to-morrow for Port Chalmers, Bluff, and Wellington to complete loading for Boston, New York, and London. Tho vessel is dno at Wellington on the 26th inst., -and will sail finally from that port on March 31. MOERAKI TO RESUME. The Union Company on Monday announced its intention of recommissioning the Moeraki, which has been laid up in the stream at Wellington for a lengthy period, and employing her in the intercolonial passenger service in the place of tho Maheno, which is held up at Sydney through a dispute between the engineers and stokers. The Moeraki was taken alongside the Queen’s wharf at Wellington on Monday, and tho necessary preparations for her equipment were commenced. TO LOAD FOR ENGLAND, The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the steamer Carpentaria is due at Auckland from Australia on April 20 to load for Home. The vessel will load also at Tokomaru Bay, Wanganui, Picton, and Wellington, and will sail finally from the latter port on May 8. Tho New Zealand Shipping Company .advise? that the steamer Cornwall, now cn route from Liverpool with cargo for New Zealand, is to load for London at Timaru, Lyttelton, Napier, and Wellington. The vessel will leave Wellington finally on May 18 for London via Montevideo.

After being laid up at Lyttelton for tho past seven months, tho wooden steamer Broxton, said to be the largest wooden steamer afloat, has been sold, and is expected to sail shortly for Australia. The vendors are Broxton, Ltd., of Christchurch, and tho purchaser is John G. White, shipping agent, of Sydney. It is understood that the price is a satisfactory one.

Tho Broxton Ins had a, chequered career since her arrival in Australasian waters. She was chartered by the Blackball Coal Company to cany coal from Newcastle to New Zealand ’ ports. Sho made her first trip to Dunedin, and tho second to Lyttelton. On that occasion her departure from Lyttelton was hold up owing to trouble over census returns, the captain having at first refused to fill in tho papers. Afterwards the vessel lay Idlo for seventy-one days at Newcastle, which ran tho ship into debt. Sho was arrested at Lyttelton for debt, and sold by auction to a Christchurch svndioato for £6,200, but the syndicate -was unable to secure a freight, and the vessel was tied up at Lyttelton. THE BARQUE EAUPO. The barque Baupo, which was recently purchased by the Canterbury Steamship Company from G. H. Scales, Ltd., for conversion, into a hulk, will bo towed iron Wellington to Lyttelton next week. The barque was placed on the slip at Wellington for cleaning, and will bo brought to Lyttelton by either the Gale or tho Calm The work of dismantling the vessel will bo carried out at Lyttelton.

WIRELESS FROM LEMUEL A. A wireless message received by tile New Zealand Shipping Company from the captain of the Rennera, en route from London. and Southampton to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton', and Dunedin, states that the vessel will arrive at Auckland on Sunday. THE PORT PIEIE. Messrs J. W, Swift and Co. advise that the C. and D. liner Port Pirie was to loavo Liverpool on March 11 with general cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She should arrive here at the end of April, and after discharge will load frozen moat and other cargo at Port Chalmers for the United Kingdom. PORT BOWEN’S MOVEMENTS. Tho C. and D. liner Port Bowen is having a fairly lengthy stay at Port Chalmers which is due to her having repairs effected to her rudder. It was on account of the rudder detects that the vessel did not come up to Dunedin to discharge her local cargo from London. It is ©xpeoted that the repairs will be completed in tone to allow the Port Bowen to sail on Sunday morning for Lyttelton, Gisborne, arid Wellington to complete her loading for the United Kingdom.
