Three boys—thirteen, fourteen, and fifteen respectively—pleaded guilty to riding bicycles on the footpath, and were admonished and discharged.—Th© Magistrate raid that it was not very wise bringing these, boys before the court; a warning by the constable would have been quite effective.

Three boys, two of whom were Syrians, pleaded guilty to damaging plaster to the value of £3, the property of the City Council. —Sub-inspector Eccks raid that about a chain of plaster work on a footpath in Clyde Hill had been destroyed, and the case had been aggravated -by two of them writing filthy words on the wet plaster.—The Magistrate placed the boys under the super virion of the .Juvenile Probation Officer for a period of twelve months, and ordered the parents to make good the damage done.

A. vomit; boy, aged twelve, was charged with stealing a. bicycle, valued at £5 10s. —Chief-detective Bishop said that the boy was in the habit of taking- bicycles from the railway sheds and riding them till the tyres were punctured, then returning them. The hoy was one of seven children, and the father had been out of work for seven or eight months.—The boy was placed under the control of the Juvenile Probation Officer for twelve months.

For having in his possession a singleshot rifle, a boy under sixteen was admonished and discharged : and for supplying him with the rifle another boy was fined 10s, with costs (7s).
