The Springboks met the combined universities in a challenge match. Results: 100 Yards. —Oosterlaak (S.A.) 1, Bakes (S.A.) 2, Gale 3. Time, 10 MOsec. One Mile.—Leathern (S.A.) 1, L. Tunley 2, O’Driscoll 5. 440 Yards.—W. Hutton 1, Gale 2, John-, ston (S.A.) 3. Time, 50|sec.
The medlby relay, teams of four, to run half a mile, quarter-mile, and 220yds, was won easily by the Springboks in 3min 47sec.
Points scored: Springboks 9, Universities 5.
