HIBERNIANS

Thoquaiterly meeting of tho St. Joseph's branch H.A.C.B.S. was held in St. Joseph's Hall last evening. Bro. P. Walsh presided over a large meeting of officers and members. The President welcomed the Rev. Father Foley, locum tenens branch chaplain during tiio absenco of tho Rev. Father Coffey on a visit to Ireland. Tho Rev. Father administrator St. Joseph's Cathedral, in reply, stated that he had been connected with Hibernian societies for «i number of years. He assured the society that they would have his whole-hearted support, especially in the forthcoming campaign for new members. In. conclusion he thanked those present for the warm -welcome- they had given him. It .was decided to present a past president's collar to Bro. E. Lyng, in recognition of his services during tho term of his office as' president. A campaign for new members is to be bunched at once. Tho arrangements are in tho hands of a committee.
