. Wednesday, March 15. (Before Ma- J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. MISCHIEVOUS BEHAVIOUR. William Fleming Perry pleaded guilty to a charge of drunkenness and also to assaulting Lionel Meadows. Sub-inspector Eccles said that last evening threo ladies were decorating the interior of the Wealeyan Church, at Caver&ham, when their attention was drawn to a young man looking in at the window. They drew tho blind down, and soon afterwards stones were heard rattling on the roof. Presently Meadows came to the church, and the ladies told him what had happened. He went outside and spoke to Perry, who struck him.—Accused had nothing to say.—The Magistrate said that accused was' evidently in a mischievous mood through drink. ' On the first charge ho would ho fined 10s, or forty-eight hours' imprisonment, and on the second £3, with the alternative of fourteen days.
