BURIAL OF FIFTEEN DUKES

The magnificent mausoleum of the Dukes of Hamilton at Hamilton Pnjace, Lanarkshire, has been opened, and the. bodies of fifteen dukes removed to the Bent Cemetery for reburial. Some time ago tho bodies of the last two dukes, the father and grandfather of the Marchioness of Graham, wore removed quietly and buried in the vaults at Brodrick Castle, in the Isle of Arran, which is a possession of the Hamiltons. Costing nearly three-quarters of a million, the famous mausoleum had become unsafe through coal mining operations.
