LONDON, December 20, The English and Welsh railways have decided to reduce the freight on coal and coke from 100 per cent, to 75 per cent, of the increase upon the basic rates in operation in Jannaiy. 1920. The railways regrot that further reduction? are 'impossible until the price of coal fall? and- railwaymen’s wages have been reduced, —A. and X.Z. Cable.
