LONDON, Deoombo 21. (Received December 22, at 10 a.m.) Tho King in giving an nudienco_ to the members of the Japanese Commercial Mission recalled the happy recollections of his visit to Japan forty years ago, and expressed his delight that his son was about to visit their great country, which was “endeared to us by many ties of friendship and alliance.” His Majesty said ho hoped that the mission would bo successful in its endeavors to hasten that transition to normal trading conditions which wae so much desired by all nations, —A. and N.Z. Cable.
