ESCAPED PRISONER RECAPTURED
SIX MONTHS AT LARGE. [Peh United Pkf.ss Association.] TE AWAMUTU, October 15. Gordon Amundson, who escaped from Waiks.\i reformatory on March 9 last, was recap land yesterday. Ho appeared in court this morning, and was sontencod to two year.!’ hard labor as an incorrigible rogue. Prisoner was undergoing a sentence of three years’ reformative treatment for thoft when he escaped. Good conduce there earned him confidence, and ho was placed in a position of trust in a dairy, but abused the confidence hy breaking away.
