N.E. VALLEY MEMORIAL.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—Several letters criticising tlio work of the Memorial Arch Committee have appeared in your columns, and the writers doubtless were prompted by worthy motives; but may I suggest that the cause for which we have all been working—“the memory ami honor of our lads who have gone ” —is too sacred to bo stained, by controversy. It was inevitable that mistakes of omission and commission should occur, but lot those be guiding posts to those who in future will bn rasponeible for what I trust will be an. annual fixture at N.E. Valley—a memorial service at the arch.—l am, etc., A. E. Akseli.-. April 28.
