A Carterton massage says The polls were taken yesterday at Masterton, Carter ton, and Feathcrston, Saturday being carried everywhere. Opotiki adopted Saturday by a majority of thirty-eight. Keep interest was manifested in the poll. Ashburton carried the change to Saturday half-holiday by 912 votes to 453. Morton also adopted Saturday, the voting being 404 in its favor against 296. Eltham retains Thursday. The voting was: For Thursday, 510; for Saturday, 340. Gisborne carried tho Saturday halfholiday poll by a majority of five votes.
