Messrs Bray Bros, (of Dunedin), Ltd., report as follows for the week; Heavy consignments of chaff continue to conic forward, and lines are hard to quit at JSS per ton, ex truck. Medium and light quality are very .slow of sale. Wheat; Good nulling lines are readily accepted by millers at Government fixer! prices. Fowl wheat is in short supply. Oats; The market show? a. firming tendcncy, to-day’s value being 2s 10d for A Cartons and 2s 9d, f.ob.. s.i.. for Bs. Good Sparrowbilla are sold readily to poultry-Keepers in preieience to wheat at the advanced figure. Potatoes Steady supplies are arriving from tlio Taieri, and the top value to-day for prime tubers is £6 per, ton. Supplies from Canterbury are arriving in large quantities, and values are £5 to £5 ss, ox store. Lggs are in short supply. Onions; Supplies of onions have fallen off during the past week, andf values are firmer. A rise in the market is expected. Canliflowers_a.ro wanted. Cabbages are more plentiful. First quality dessert apples, Jonathans and Coxs Orange, arc teu.ng at. rates. Cookers arc slow of sale. the market has been over-supplied with pears of medium qmdity, and good varieties are realising 2d to 5d per lb. Grapes have been arriving more finely, and values have dropped considerably. Beeswax is wanted. Poultry and pigs aro in short supply. The following prices were realised during the week ; Sparrowbill oats, 5s per bushel. Oats (goad feed), 2? 6d to 2s 9d. Chaff, prime oaten, £5 to £5 10s. Bran, Sa 5d per 1001 b.
