Mr G. g. Thomson report? that although it was only in January, 1921, that he held his first meeting in Milton, on March 17 the Milton Industrial Co-op. store was opened, under the management of Mr Isaac Robinson, and during the past four weeks had been so well supported by Milton residents that Mr Robinson had been compelled to engage an assistant to help him to cope with the increasing business. Last Monday Mr 'Thomson (by request) addressed the freezing workers at Balclutha during the midday meal hour, and as a result a committee was set up. Then on Wednesday night ho addressed an enthusiastic audience at Alexandra, with the result that a committee was set up to get nn Alexandra Industrial Co-opera-tive Society formed. In tho case of Alexandra the committee consists of Messrs Ashworth (president.), M'Carthy (secretary), Moblo (treasurer), Werner, Kitto, Bruce, Carline, J. Brown,, and Royds (Alexandra), and W. Brown (Cromwell).
