COLLISION WITH ICICLE

An extraordinary accident happened to a Swiss express recently. The Berthoud tunnel, through which it passed, was full of icicles caused by water filtering through the earth above. The engine dashed into a great icicle and was damaged, while the driver received a terrible blow which sjcut his face and tore out one of bis eyes.
