THE MAN FROM TORONTO
BY THE LONDON COMEDY COMPANY
It is said that nothing finer or more sweetly human has been seen south of the line than the delightful oomedy 'The Man from Toronto,' duo at His Majesty's Theatre on Thursday next, under the J. C Williamson direction, in copjimction with Hugh D. M'lntosh, and played by Robert Gourtneidge's London company. It is a, big episode in the lives of two natural people, told honestly and with raTe sympathy. It is said Mr George Tully is a beau ideal lover—one that most girJa are looking for. Miss Swallow is the sori of girl who makes every man of the rightsort eager, while the dried old mysogynists sit up and wonder. An entirely uncommon play, possessing a note at real humanity and bubbling over with delightfully humorous situations. Leading tho company are Mr George Tully and Miss Margaret Swallow, players wno came to Australia with a bi 1 * nane, and who hare, judging by contemporaneous opinions, proved beyond doubt their right to be cltssed in the forefront of the world's theatrical artists. To all appearance the support to be accrued is excoptionaJly good, and includes such favorably-known, artists as Mr Joseph Graham, Mr Ronaid Ward, Misses Marie Rignokl, Rosalind Courtneidge, Blanche Massey, Leslie Lester, and Leslie Graham. The season is for four nights. The box plans will be opened at the Geyser Fountain on Tuesday morning next. The play will be staged in precisely the same elaborate maimer that obtained at the Duke of York's Theatre, London.
