LONDON, December 22. , There is every indication of a hurricane offensive in the east in the springtime. It is reported from Riga that the Reds are concentrating their third army on the Esthonian frontier, and their seventh and fifteenth armies to the southward. A renew;',’, of Bolshevik attacks is expected in February, as they believe that a new wav is the only means of saving the Moscow Government. —A. and N.Z. Cable. . DELHI, December 22. An Indian National Congress is sitting at Nagpur to discuss whether Home Rule _ within the Empire or absolute separation shall be the goal of Indian Nationalism. The Bengal extremists are advocating an intensive campaign against the Government, to include a general strike and the nonpayment of taxes. The political atmospusre is becoming highly charged. Although the Moderates swept the country at the council elections, this was only because the extremists boycotted the whole reform scheme.—A. and N.Z. Cable. LONDON, December 22. The House of Commons agreed to the House of Lords’ amendments to the Home Rule Bill with one or two unimportant exceptions. ROME, December 22. D’Annunzio replied to General Caviglia’s ultimatum stating that he does not recognise the Treaty of Eapallo, and intends to resist. General Caviglia thereupon ordered a strict land and sea blockade of Flume, which will he absolutely isolated. —Reuter. J . LONDON, December 22. Corrected estimates of the casualties in the Mullinahone fight are that from to 1 to fifteen rebels, eight soldiers, and one policeman were killed; hut the reports are-still meagre and unreliable. It is stated that two bodied of Crown forces, through a, mistake, fired upon each other, a police sergeant being killed, and another wounded. The Anti-Sinn Fein Society placarded, County Kerry with notices that unless three missing officers are released by the 27th a lengthy_ list of marked individuals’ houses will bo blown up, adding that _ the military are toe lenient.
