Further particulars of tho disastrona fire which destroyed the National Mortgage, and Agency Company's business premises at Invercargiil on Saturday, and tha New Zealand Loan Company's store, show that tho New Zealand Jjo&o. insurances were carried by tiio Union Assurance Company, and amounted to £11,450 on the stock and ferrrriiure -and £7,500 on the building. The iosuraaco of the National ifortgage were all iu tho National Insurance Gorrrp-«ray, and amounted to £5,000 on tho building. Tho insurances on the stock wero not available, as particulars -were contained in tine books which were in tba strong rooms. The 850 bales of Imperial wool were stored in tho New Zealand Loan at the purchaser's risk. The origin of the fir© is. unknown.
