SCOUT NOTES
[By Kiwi.] if! eommvniceciiom to be addrtued to '‘Kiwi" ‘Star’ Office, before J t .SO p.m. Mondays. The First Roslyn Troop met as usual on Friday last. There was a good muster of Scouts, and the vacancies in the troop filled; so now the troop is complete. Thpre was some difficulty about lights ; but Scouts are never stuck. Candles were found, and the evening was spent in games, cockfighting, boxing, etc. The troop are in a very healthy state, and! good times arebeing looked 1 forward to.' The Mornington Troop had a good muster last Friday night. After the boys bad been inspected by the sergeant, who was in charge (the D.S. still being in the hospital), the syllabus work was carried on. At 8 p.m. the boys enjoyed some games until 8.30, .when ’they were given their first lesson in fire brigade work, winch will be carried on next Friday, when it is hoped to have the D.S. bpek.
