RANFURLY SHIELD. Another challenge for the Ranfurlv Shield was decided at Wellington yesterday, _ when the Bay of Plenty met the Wellington Rugby representative fifteen {holders'. The home team won by 22 points’ to 3, after - ‘a fairly hard-fought game, in which they by no means had things all their own way until the lastquarter ot an hour, when they (filed on the score. .At ’the end of the first spell Wellington were leading hv 3 points only, and well on in the second half the score stood at 6 to 3 in their favor. The visitors died hard, the majority of Wellington’s points being compiled in the laidstages of tho contest. A feature of the game was the wonderfully quick recoveries on the part of the Bav of Pler.tv representatives. - - GOLF.
