FEDERAL FINANCES TIGHT. MELBOURNE, July 1. The Commonwealth Government will shortly float a loan, probably of £20,000.000, which may bear interest a 6 per cent. Previous loan funds are exhausted. £20,000.000 having been spent since Jamrarv, 1920. SYDNEY, July 1. The Commonwealth Bank has ircrea'.ed the rate of interest from 3 to 3j per cent, on balances reaching £I,OOO, the rate being 3 per cent, on additional amounts up t< £3,000.
