'BRASS BUTTONS'

T'.e in w }i-a-aro at the Queen's and King Edward Theatres -is 'Brass Buttons,' an entertaining oomedv-drama featuring "Big Bill" Russell. In 'Brass Buttons' Sir Russell appears in the role of a young millionaire in love with a lady's maid, but who actually is a very wealthy and high-bred * lady. To prosper his 6iiit lie borrows a policeman's uniform, and as the other " party" keeps up her side of the joke, neither d'-nps to the real identity )f the other till well on in the play. In the meantime the " cop" who lent the uniform has to lie low- longer than he expects, and the result is that the whole force is turned out to find him. These are said to be only a few of the many fast-moving incidents that throng the action of the piece and make it whirl from start to finish. There is a good list of supporting items.
