Canterbury boxing chant pionships last night for the selection of i. tea.-n for the New Zealand championships was largely attended, and there was a good three hours' eport. The results were:— Bantam.—Stoddart (Ashburton) beat G. Terras (Ashburton). Feather.—Shanks iTimani) beat Gib#m (Ashburton). Light-weight.—J. Dwyer (Hinds) beat M'Aleer (North Canterbury). Welter.—O'Connor (Seadown) beat Stewart (Timaru). Heavy.—M'Cleary (Ashburton) beat M'Kenna (Seadown). Fly-weight.—Barry (Timaru) beat Wyberg (Timaru). In a special bout Leckie (Dunedin) 8.2 beat G. Gunn (Timaru) 8.0.
