Forecast. The.Government Meteorologist (Rev. D. C. Bates) supplied the following at noon to-day :—Winds, northerly, moderate to strong, prevailing; weather probably cool and changeable, cloudy to overcast at times; the night -will probably be very cold, with frosts inland; barometer, littlfe movement; sea, moderate; tides, good. SAILED.-June 1. Kotare, s.s. (1.35 p.m.), 146 tons, Mumby, for Bluff, Invercargill. Riverton, .and Port Craijz.

ARRIVED.—June 2. Breeze, s.s. (10.15 a.m.), 553 tons, Venn, from Lyttelton. The Waipori is expected to leavs Westport to-day for Auckland, thence to Newcastle and New Zealand. The Kamona is expected to leave Westport to-night for Wellington. The Poherua is at Westport waiting to load coal for Port Chalmers, where sne will arrive about Monday next. The Mokoia left Gisborne at 8.45 this morning for Auckland. The Kamo arrived at Gisborne at 9 this morning, and she is expected to sail to-morrow afternoon, weather permitting. The Te Anau is to leave Oamaru tonight for Lyttelton, thence ta Napier and Gisborne. Greymouth reports a fine easterly and moderate swell. It is expected that the. Karamu wOl be despatched from Greymouth, on Friday for New Plymouth. The Kowhai arrived at Greymouth at 8 this morning, and sails on Friday night for Lyttelton and Dunedin. The Kini reached Wellington at 7.30 last night, and sails to-day for Pjcton to load for Onehunga. The Kittawa, from Greymouth, arrived at Wellington this morning. Monowai is due to sail from here on Friday for Auckland via ports. The Corinna was to leave Wellington at noon to-day for Dunedin, and leaves here on Friday for Oamaru and New Plymouth. The Manuka was due at Wellington this afternoon, and is expected to sail on Friday for Sydney. The Maheno leaves Sydney to-morrow for Auckland. The Kaituna is due to leave Greymouth about Monday for Sydney. _ The Stella sailed this morning for Wellington. Thence she will proceed to Greymouth to load again for Dunedin.
