WORKERS' EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATION

The weekly meeting of the above class at the locomotive running sheds hall was held yesterday morning. This class are studying a course of lectures on industrial history, which is hold so that those unable to attend ordinary evening classes may be able to avail themselves of the benefits of these classes. The subject of the lecture ‘ Towns and Their Freedom,’ was opened up and dealt with in an able manner by the_ lecturer (Mr G. M'Cracken). The discussion which followed the lecture was exceedingly instructive, and many questions of interest were raised. The members of this class are mostly railway locomotive men. It is a pity that advantage • is not taken by others workers of the opportunity these classes offer.
