. TAURANGA, Apnl 13. The Natives of Motiti Island report that while fishing on Sunday to the north of the island they ca.ught several schnapper, jill of whicn contained maize grains. After the movement had been explained by the delegates a motion that a class bo formed was unanimously adopted. Mr Allan was elerted chairman 'and j r r .Tobn Logan secretary. The opening lecture will be delivered in the Council Chamber nest Saturday evening. These classes are conducted under the auspices of Otago University, and a'e open to workers of all grades. The entertainment of returned' soldiers during the winter 'months will be nrovided for by the Racial Committee of' the Dunedin Returned Soldiers’ Association, a comprehensive programme having already planned, which includes dances and billiard tournaments. The first dancs and social of the season is to be held on Thursday evening iu the Early' Settlers’ Hall, and should attract a large attendance.
