■ ■■■■»■ ' CAPTAIN SCOTT IN THE ANTARCTIC. The undying story of Captain Scott's expedition to tho South Pole will be the unusual attraction at the Octagon, Queen's, and King Edward Theatres tonight. From a scientific standpoint these pictures are in a class by themselves, for the reason that they have taught scientists things heretofore unsuspected. It maybe well to state that this expedition was not a mere dash' to the Pole, but a gigantic acientic undertaking. History iecords no braver, sadder farexvell than that of Captain Oates, who deliberately ■walked, out in to th'e blizzard, saying : •' I am going outside, and I may be some time?' Out of 25,000 feet of film made by Mr Ponting (the official photographer), 6,000 feet have been selected for exhibition purposes, and this is what will be screened this evening. At the Queen's and King Edward additional enjoyment is given to the programme by ' Cupid Forecloses, an adaptation from the popular florel by Florence Kingsley, KING'S. All the elements that make for interest and satisfaction are comprised in the current programme at the King's Theatre The big picture is ' The Co-respondent,' ■with Elaine Hammerstein in the leading role. Other good pictures are ' His Waiting Oare«l' (comedy), a gazette, and a ncenio. OCTAGON. There was a large attendance at the Octagon this afternoon., when an excellent programme was submitted. This evening 'With Scott to the South Pole' and Peggy Hyland in ' Miss Adventure' will be the attractions. ' EVERYBODY'S.
