AN OCTOGENARIAN'S END. BURNT IN IJIS WHARE. [Pee United Press Association.] ASHBURiON, February 18. The chaired remains of Patrick Casey, aged about 80 years, were found in his whare at Tinwald this morning, the building having been burnt during the night. Deceased was a well-known identity, having followed the occupation of a' horse dealer for many years. Charles M Pike, aged 48, believed to be a resident ot Otorohanga, was thrown from a horse in Te Awamntn yesterday and killed instantly. The tiers? bolted and when rounding a corner fell, throwing the rider against a fence and fracturing his skull. °
An accident happened to Albert Brook, of Reid road, this morning. He was em--0? tile road claying work opposite the Oval. In avoiding an approaching tramcar he unfortunately stepped on to the other line, and was knocked down by another car from the opposite direction. He was removed to the Hospital,
