MORNINGTON GYMNASTIC CLUB
The Mornington School Gymnasium Hall was wcll_ attended -last* evening, when a, gymnasiic display and concert was given. Mr T. MT.eunan presided, and in his opening address referred to the value of scientific physical training for young men, and expressed appreciation of tho excellent work and devotion displayed by the honorary instructor, Mr D. Gollan. Members of the Morningto» Young Men's Gymnastic Club contributed -a number of displays, including physical drill, horizontal bar exercises, parallel bar aud Roman rings, Swedish drill, and horse exercise.;. Mr Gollan himself giving a very. finished display of gymnastic feats. The floor had been specially prepared by Mr Kennedy for the Swedish drill. The. musical programme included Fongs by Mr J. Pattersou, Mrs Carlton Hall, Misses Jean Lennox, and A. Guy, with a recital by Miss Flo Lennox; these v.-ere warmly received and encored. Misses I. Holgate- and J. Guy acted as accompanists. A very pleasant evening was spent, and at its conclusion Messrs J. G. Moody and J. Dawson expressed thanks to "the par'formers, and--a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to them.
