REPATRIATION BOARD
The fcJlo-wins applications for assistance were dealt with at yesterday's meeting of the Otago District Repatriation Board: Business loans: Eleven applications were received, amounting to £1,770. Five, representing £475, ware approved, and six, totalling £1,295, were held over. Furnitiiß- Joans: Thirteen applications _ were received, amounting to £602 14s 6d. Ten, representing £SOO, were approved, oae for £SO held over, and two, totalling £52 14s 6d, were declined. Eight apprentices appiud tts have their wages made up to £3. Seven applications were approved and one held over. Two soldiers were granted assistance to purchase tools of trade. Eight soldiers who are unable to follow their prt-war occupations wero placed in new trades. and their wages subsidised. Elevt'ti applications for assistance in technical and university training were dealt with. Seven were approved and four held over.
