WAHINE TAKES UP RUNNING IN NOVEMBER. We learn from tho head office of the Union.Steam Ship Company tnat the turbine steamer Waaiine is at present being reconditioned m the yards of Denny Bros, at Dumbarton, and is expected to leave Home for Port Chalmera in September. Tho Wahino will be placed in oommiKsion in tho ferry service in time for tho Canterbury carnival (November), Thenoo onward this service will bo niamtadned by tho Maori and the Wabino as in prewar days.
