FRENCH AIRMEN’S DUEL
Paris is quite disappointed "because the duel which was to be held by two peevish F each airmen in their 150 horse-power airplanes Vina been called off until the conclusion of peace. It was contended that, inasmuch as the war was still technically on, the airplanes should not be sacrificed. One of t';e seconds had declared that an aerial du.i was just as natural a way for airmen u settle their troubles as for cavalrymen to try conclusions with their swords. He said the due! could be arranged so that the chances would be about equal, and that it had the further advantage of being so difficult to execute that it would not be construed as ridiculous. According to the French Press, the idea is an excellent one, which has appealed particularly to the sport-ing-btood-«f all in aviation circle* in-Pvance.
